The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) test is a tool used to predict negative health outcomes in adulthood based on childhood trauma incurred in the home. While the study which lead up to this test was comprehensive, I believe there is a portion of a child's life that is not being captured. Children spend seven hours a day, five days a week at school. This is a significant portion of their lives and opens up opportunities for adverse experiences that can significantly affect them and their physical and psychological health. Take a listen to this podcast to hear my research proposal.
